Nails For Beginners
This course is over two days because there is a lot to cover. If you are thinking of starting a career in nails this is the one for you. On the first day we will be covering; Nail diseases and disorders this is VERY Important, as a nail technician you have an important job to look after you clients’ nails and to give them to best treatment and information you can. Learning about the diseases and disorders will give the knowledge you need to start as a nail technician. We will also cover health and safety (COSHH), nail anatomy, contra-indications, Nail Preparation and tip application.Â
On day two we will learn how to carry out a silk or fibreglass nail, this may seem old fashion to some of you but this will teach you how to repair a nail as well as build up a client’s nail. We will also go through the application of a tip and dip acrylic nail. Covering trouble shooting on nail application. We will also cover the correct way to remove the nails causing no damage to the natural nail bed. And final covering aftercare for your clients. At the end of day two you will have the knowledge you need to go out and start your journey to become a nail technician.
Gel Polish
This is a great course for those wishing to either work on clients or just do your own nails. We will show you the correct way to apply the gel polish over a natural nail and over an acrylic or gel nail. We will also cover nail preparation, health and safety. Also we will cover the removal of the gel polish.
Gel Nails
To do this course you will have had to have completed either Nail application for beginners or the equivalent (certification proof is required) this is a one-day course and on that day, we will cover the different types of gel, the application of gel using a nail form, the application of gel using a tip, and the application of gel on to a natural nail (known as an overlay). We will go through the maintenance, infills, troubleshooting and the correct way to remove the gel nail causing no damage to the natural nail bed.
Acrylic Nails
To do this course you will have had to have completed either Nail application for beginners or the equivalent (certification proof is required) this is a one-day course and in that day we will cover the application of acrylic nails using a nail form, the application of acrylic on to a tip and the application using poppets. We will also cover the maintenance, infills, troubleshooting and the correct way to remove the acrylic nail causing no damage to the natural nail bed.
Party Lashes
This is a great course if you are starting off and you are wanting to do individual lashes in the future. Due to health and safety (COSHH) you will need to have completed this course before any individual lash course. This will show the correct way to apply glue near your client’s eyes. Also showing you how to apply cluster lashes to give your client that fuller lash look.
Eyelash Uplift
This is one of our most popular courses. This course will show you how to give your clients lift, volume and length to their natural lashes. We will cover health and safety, how it works, the preparation of your client and how to carry out the lash lift. Also included in this course is how to tint the lashes. We will also be covering tinting, which you can then use on your client’s eyebrows if you so wish and add it to your list of treatments.
Eyelash and Eyebrow Tinitng
Tinting in the beauty trade as an essential part of our day to day life. This course will show you how to mix the tint, apply the tint, and remove the tint. Showing you how to get the right colour to match your client’s skin and hair colour, how long to leave it on to give your client the best effect. Also included in this course we will cover health and safety, how the tint works and how to store your products.
Eye Enhancement
This course covers the entire eye area. Showing you how to tint, shape the brow and apply cluster lashes. It’s great for those starting off in the beauty trade. This course will show you how to mix the tint, apply the tint, and remove the tint. Showing you how to get the right colour to match your client’s skin and hair colour, how long to leave it on for to give your client the best effect. We will also cover how to map out your client’s brow to create the correct shape for your client using tweezers. Then we will cover the application of the cluster lashes covering health and safety (COSHH).
Individual Eyelash Extensions (Semi-Permanent)
Before you can do this course, you will have had to have completed the Party lash/eye enhancement course and have been perfecting your skills for at least 3 months.Â
If you are wanting to offer your clients individual lash extensions this is the course for you. We will cover the different types of lashes available, the different lengths and curls. We will cover the application of the lash. How to infill your client’s lashes. We will also cover the removal of the lash extensions. We will go through Aftercare advise for you to give to your client, health and safety including contra-indications.
Spray Tan
This course is excellent if you would like to start your own business, it will explain how tanning started and how it works. We will show you how to spray tan your clients, also included in this course is the health and safety and trouble shooting.
Waxing
Waxing is a beauty therapist’s must have. In this course you will need no prior knowledge as all will be given to you on the day. We will be covering: Skin diseases, safety precautions, the skin, Contra-indications, the equipment and of course the how to carry out the correct way to wax your client. The areas that we will be covering will be legs, Bikini, underarm and facial waxing. We will Also be going through after care advice for you to give to your client.
